Huntsman's Bar
The Huntsman's Bar harks back to the time when The Forest Arms was a Fisherman’s hub. This room reflects some of the fishing history of the nearby River Cothi. It was even once the haunt of distinguished guests including Dylan Thomas, The King of Saudi Arabia and George Bernard Shaw, to drop a few names. With a cavernous fireplace and wood burner to keep you cosy, it’s the perfect cwtch to relax and enjoy a drink.
The Raven Bar
The Raven Bar takes its inspiration from Bob the Raven, a tame orphaned Raven chick who became a notorious character in the Village. In fact, on the wall you’ll find taxidermized Bob himself, along with some of the stories written about him by Gareth Jones in 1933. Not only does the famous Bob feature in our Forest Arms logo, now he’s come home to roost!
St David's Room
A cosy space with plenty of character and a lovely atmosphere. Our St Davids Room is named after its historic furnishings, bought from St Davids Cathedral in West Wales. With an open fire and double height beamed ceiling, it’s a great spot to meet up or enjoy a meal. And if you want to shut yourself away from everyone else for a special occasion, you can book it for an intimate private party. Seats 24.
The Woolpackers Room
Sheep farming is an important part of Brechfa’s history and future. The Woolpackers Room reflects agricultural history of Carmarthenshire, with traditional tools on the walls and black and white photos reflecting local farming over the ages. Its charm makes it a popular place for people to gather and its size suits dining for larger groups or special functions. Seats 28.
